My Inspiration
Mr. Caine’s Clubhouse was inspired by 18 very special individuals who left a lasting mark on my heart and played a huge part in shaping this vision. As their class teacher, I had the privilege of seeing their innocence, joy, honesty and unique personalities up close. In their laughter, their curiosity, their kindness and even their smallest everyday moments, I was reminded of how deeply children can impact the people around them.
As much as i taught them, they taught me that children do not just need education — they also need to feel seen, valued, safe and included. They need spaces where they can be themselves, enjoy positive experiences, build happy memories and know that they truly belong. Their innocence opened my eyes to how powerful a welcoming environment can be, and how much of a difference it makes when children are given care, encouragement and a sense of community.
Without those 18 special individuals, MCC would never have become a reality. This vision was born from the impact they had on me, and from the realisation that so many children and families could benefit from something like this. MCC is, in many ways, a thank you to them — and a commitment to creating a space where other children can experience that same sense of warmth, belonging and joy. To honour them i have included them in the page below.
